Auburndale High School will host its annual brat fry on Thursday, April 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help cover medical bills for baby Jedd Voight, who spent over 100 days in hospital for surgery to treat a rare pancreas condition.

The City declared a snow emergency starting at 9 p.m. today and ending at 6 p.m. Monday to clear streets for snowplow operations.

Vehicles parked on roads will incur a $100 fine (to maintain safe passage) during this period.

The Wisconsin Poison Center reported that pain medications were the leading cause of accidental poisonings last year with over 38,000 cases statewide, and young children (33% of calls) were most at risk.

Experts advised caregivers to lock up medications to prevent accidental exposure.

Paralympic curler Matt Thums is returning to Wisconsin Sunday after representing Team USA at the Milan Cortina Paralympics; he started his journey at the local curling club where he first learned the sport in Wausau.
