- ➤ An argument turned physical Sunday evening at a home on Mill Street in Amherst, leaving a 43-year-old man shot and hospitalized in serious condition after a helicopter took him to Wausau — deputies later arrested a 42-year-old man for suspected attempted first-degree intentional homicide. - ➤ Marathon County Historical Society is hosting its 26th annual Vintage Springtime Tea at Woodson History Center on Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The event features a new 1920s Tea Room theme with a two-course tea and dessert—ticket sales end today, so reservations must be made in advance. WSAW
