Wausau residents can sign up for free smoke alarm installations from the American Red Cross on Tuesday, Mar.

24 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in select neighborhoods + gain fire safety education to help protect their families.

Friday night the Wausau Curling Club hosted a homecoming event for local Paralympian Matt Thums who skipped Team USA in his second Paralympics.

Thums, who lives in Weston, said he felt humbled by the club’s warm support & plans to take a year off competitive curling.

The state Senate passed a bipartisan plan releasing $133 million to combat PFAS contamination, and Governor Evers is expected to sign it soon.
