- ➤ Today, the American Red Cross said Wisconsin faces a growing blood shortage as many patients need blood for emergencies, surgeries, and cancer care. Local board member Jay Cricks, who once received a blood transfusion after a car crash, is hosting a drive at NorthStar Restoration in Wausau on Friday March 28 (4900 Stewart Ave) to help meet the need.
