  • Local authorities in Price and Taylor counties continue the yearlong search for Jesse Yanske, who disappeared (exactly one year ago) near highway 13 in Westboro as his family works closely with investigators and urges anyone with information to come forward.  WAOW

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Significant damage was reported in Ringle after strong storms, including a tornado, passed through Friday, and Marathon County Emergency Management will provide an update at 8:15 p.m.  WSAW

CULTURE NEWS

  • Nurse Blake, a nurse and comedian, will perform his 'But Did You Die?' tour on Nov. 17 at Grand Theater after its renovation. Tickets went on sale Friday, April 17 at the Grand’s Aspirus Ticket Office (or online).  Wausau Daily Herald

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Businesses along the Wisconsin River at Lyndon Station face severe flooding after heavy rains forced evacuation at River Bay Premier Camping Resort — water reached hip height not seen since 2010. More rain is expected Friday, and owners brace for further impacts.  WAOW

HEALTH NEWS

  • Portage County health officials warn residents not to play in flood water that may carry bacteria (like E. coli), chemicals and debris. They advise waiting until May 18 for public beaches to test their waters before swimming.  WSAW
