- ➤ Today, pet owners in Wausau can get their pets' nails trimmed for $15 at the Humane Society at 7001 Packer Dr from noon until 3 as Nifty Nails Mobile in Home Pet Nail Trimming hosts its pop-up event—$5 from each trim will go to help local homeless pets. WSAW
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Restoration crews have worked on Day's Bowl-A-Dome since a fire damaged the building in late February, and the interior now shows plastic coverings and clean surfaces while work continues. Owner Dean Day said the crew will remove the scaffolding (next Wednesday) and add surprise improvements so loyal customers can return for lunch in the coming weeks. WSAW

- ➤ Hummingbird Central data shows ruby-throated hummingbirds have been seen in every county in Wisconsin, with reports in Wausau on April 28 and April 30 as the birds migrated north from their wintering grounds. - ➤ On May 2, three Wisconsin representatives formed the state's first Asian Caucus in the legislature to represent Asian American—Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities in policymaking. The caucus was established by Rep. Francesca Hong, Rep. Renuka Mayadev, and Rep. Angelito Tenorio to serve as a platform for advocacy and education. WSAW
