- ➤ Former Town of Bergen Clerk Gloriann Doyle pleaded not guilty to nearly a dozen charges of forgery and theft of public funds after being accused of writing unauthorized checks that totaled over $100,000 - she remains jailed on a $50,000 bond with a status conference set for May 21. WAOW

- ➤ In 2024, the Wisconsin DMV identified nearly 6,000 vehicles with odometer rollback—totaling about 613,910,784 miles removed and an estimated $36,834,647 in fraud loss. The agency also revoked 20 dealer licenses and warned buyers to verify mileage before buying a used car. WSAW
- ➤ Today, the DNR warned that dry weather and sandy soils have raised wildfire risk to high levels—officials urge residents to avoid debris burning and other actions that might spark fires. WAOW
- ➤ Gov. Tony Evers signed an order today to fly the U.S. and Wisconsin flags at half-staff on May 14 in honor of Hmong-Lao Veterans Day. The flags will be lowered from sunrise to sunset as a tribute to Hmong-Lao veterans who fought with the nation during the Vietnam War — many of whom later settled in Wisconsin. WSAW
