Good morning, Wausau.

The fifth Community Cultures Fest was held on the 400 Block in downtown Wausau Saturday, where groups like the Hmong American Center, the Indian Society of Central Wisconsin, and New Beginnings offered dance performances and shared food, art, music + traditions to celebrate diversity.

The 400 block of Wausau recently hosted the third annual Community Cultures Fest as local group Mosaic celebrated the diverse cultures in our community.

Board member Kira James said the event featured food trucks, live music, and groups sharing their stories — a chance for long-time residents and newcomers to connect.

A local group called The Penguin Project, which helps disabled kids perform plays, is rehearsing for its production of Bugsy Malone Jr. The play will be held at Wausau East Auditorium on June 19th and 20th at 6:30 p.m.—and on June 21st and 22nd at 1:00 p.m.
