Good morning, Wausau.

The Water Walkers water ski team will perform free family-friendly shows this summer; they will appear tomorrow at Lake Wausau at 6:30 p.m. and again on June 19 at Lake Dubay with a game show-inspired theme demonstrating equipment costs—providing a fun, local learning experience.

Marathon County tourism brought in a record $497 million in 2024, which supported 3,617 jobs and added $30.2 million in tax money — the department said this was the third year in a row of record tourism statewide— and local leaders see it as a sign of strong growth.

The Wausau Ignite beat the Madison Night Mares 9—8 on Sunday in a seven-inning game after a heavy 22—1 loss on Friday, and the team hit five home runs including two by Riley Schwisow who had 5 RBIs.
