- ➤ After Army Veteran Keith Schmidt’s home was damaged by a tornado in April, American Quality Homes repaired his roof free with donated supplies from a partnering company—saving him from high repair costs. - ➤ Marathon County Sheriff’s Office announced a temporary safety zone near Wausau Municipal Airport for the Wings Over Wausau Air Show on June 27 and 28. Lake Wausau will be closed to boats from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on both days and the boat landing at Bluegill County Park will close from 6:00 a.m. on June 27 through the event+the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will enforce the zone+vehicles left in restricted areas risk towing. - ➤ The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that Gov. Tony Evers’ partial veto of a bill was not allowed—siding with the Legislature by allowing them to hold $50 million in a special fund for a new literacy program. WAOW
