- ➤ Reserved seating tickets remain available for Wisconsin Valley Fair grandstand acts at Marathon Park, where the fair runs from July 29 to August 3. Sawyer Brown will perform on July 29, Parmalee on July 30, and Night Ranger on July 31—each act offering music that ranges from country to rock. WSAW

- ➤ The Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police Department confirmed that Brianne Lynn West-Calabrese, missing since July 14, was found safe in Fargo, North Dakota Wednesday morning—her family expressed relief at her recovery. WAOW

- ➤ Due to heavy rain forecast by local meteorologists, today's Concert on the Square featuring Johnny & The Motones has been moved indoors to Rothschild Pavilion because vendors cannot set up safely outdoors. The concert will start at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. at 1104 Park Street. WAOW
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at Northcentral Technical College will have six new degree options available this fall to meet local job market needs. The programs—which include certificates, diplomas, and an apprenticeship—were developed based on feedback from local employers. WAOW

- ➤ Wausau replaced its 1,000th lead water pipe today and Mayor Doug Diny and Governor Tony Evers said the milestone marks a strong effort to ensure safe drinking water — the city plans to replace 8,000 pipes by 2028 with about $60 million coming mainly from grants. WSAW

- ➤ The Wausau Downtown Airport will host the annual EAA AirVenture Cup Race this weekend as over 100 unique aircraft will race more than 400 nautical miles and visitors can join a free open house with pancake breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. Race day is Sunday when planes will take off at 9 a.m. and return around 11 a.m.—all events are weather dependent. WSAW
