- ➤ Governor Tony Evers is not running for re-election in 2026, making the governor's race open for the first time in almost ten years. Both parties will hold close primaries as national politics and candidate strength influence the race — a big change for Wisconsin. Wausau Daily Herald
- ➤ Reconstruction on Lilac Ave in Rib Mountain will begin the week of July 28 and add sidewalks, raised medians, and left turn lanes from Morning Glory Lane to Briq’s. The road will remain open during work, but drivers should expect delays until the project finishes on November 1. WSAW
