- ➤ Marathon County District Attorney Kyle Mayo announced Thursday that Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney will serve as special prosecutor in the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation investigating the ballot dropbox removal in Wausau on September 22 — Mayo requested the appointment due to conflicts of interest to ensure full transparency. - ➤ Wausau Events announced the food vendor list and free shuttle service for the Big Bull Falls Blues Fest happening today at Fern Island and continuing August 16 — vendors include Big Mama’s Bacon Wrapped BBQ, On the Fritz Concessions, Lulu’s, Top Dogs, Rocky Rococo, JPN Concessions and A Taste of Manilla while shuttles run Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. WSAW
- ➤ The River & Woods Theatre Company will present its sixth annual Shakespeare in the Park at Stewart Park with two family-friendly plays. - ➤ Fond du Lac County DA Eric Toney was appointed as special prosecutor in the Wisconsin DOJ investigation into mayor Doug Diny’s move of the clerk’s drop box on Sept. 22—Marathon County DA Kyle Mayo requested the appointment for impartial oversight amid conflicts of interest.
