One person died in a motorcycle crash on State Highway 107 near Marathon City at 7:20 p.m. Saturday night and Marathon County Sheriff’s Department used a helicopter for MedFlight while closing the highway from County U to Highland Drive—travelers were advised to use alternate routes.

On Friday night, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted car break-in in a Rib Mountain neighborhood when a viewer’s security camera captured someone tugging on locked door handles—officers using a canine unit searched the scene but found no suspect or stolen items.
