The Good Shepherd Shelter opens today for the winter season to provide a safe, warm place for homeless adults.

The shelter is located at (360 Grand Avenue, Suite 800) and operates (7 p.m.–8 a.m.) daily.

Today, the Franciscan sisters returned the Maywood property to the Lac du Flambeau tribe as a form of reparations—an act that marks a historic step in healing the painful legacy of boarding schools.
