- ➤ Hy-Vee and local first responders will give away 200 hams to Wausau families tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the South 18th Avenue store— the distribution will end by 5 p.m. or once all hams are handed out as part of the Hams for the Holidays campaign. WAOW
- ➤ Fire officials in Wausau and across north central Wisconsin launched their annual holiday fire safety campaign today by displaying green-lit wreaths in front of fire stations. The wreaths, which feature one white light to honor fallen heroes and will change a green light to red if a fire occurs — a signal to check cooking, decoration, and heating safety, remind residents of key holiday precautions. - ➤ The Salvation Army in Wausau is seeking bell ringers to fill more than 2,000 volunteer hours at 14 kettle locations to help raise $100,000 for local families in need—Major David Womack said individuals, groups, and virtual volunteers are welcome. WSAW
