- ➤ Central Wisconsin Airport expects 1,000 to 1,500 holiday travelers this week and director Brian Grefe advises leaving extra time for winter weather delays (the concourse features a gift-wrapping station). WSAW
- ➤ At the Eagles Club in Wausau, a free Christmas meal event will offer up to 1,000 drive-through meals with four dinners per vehicle (including rolls, cookies, and fixings) on Dec. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; volunteers are invited to arrive one to two hours early. WAOW
- ➤ Rudolph Post Office celebrated 80 years of seasonal mail service with a unique holiday stamp and festive appearances (including Santa) since Dec. 13. Acting postmaster Matthew Ver Hulst said the stamp draws collectors and boosts mail volume during this busy season. WSAW
- ➤ Delta Dental of Wisconsin donated pajamas, books and toothbrushes — along with a $5K gift — to The Women’s Community in Wausau on Dec. 24, marking 10 years of support through its Brush, Book, Bed campaign for local families. Wausau Daily Herald

- ➤ The Red Cross urges donors to boost blood supplies amid holiday travel with drives in Marathon County on Jan. 5 at Dale’s Weston Lanes, Jan. 6 at Wausau’s Elks Lodge 248, and Jan. 12 at the Holiday Inn in Rothschild (donations may earn a T-shirt or Super Bowl LX trip). Wausau Daily Herald
- ➤ Today, NAMI Northwoods is offering free advocacy workshops in Marathon, Lincoln and Langlade counties to teach residents how to write personal stories, contact legislators and learn how a bill becomes law. - ➤ SPASH hockey earned a 6-0 win over Wausau West on Tuesday night in Stevens Point, keeping its 8-0 record with two early goals from Grady Miller and setting up a game against Verona on Jan. 3. Marshfield beat Mosinee 2-0 to improve its record to 4-3 and will face Monona Grove on Saturday. WSAW
