COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The Neighbors’ Place now has new market hours—its Nite Market is open on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.—to help local residents buy essentials like food and baby formula. The extra hours took six months to plan and can serve over 100 local families. WSAW
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On July 16th, an SUV lost control on State Highway 97 in Frankfort and crashed into a creek at 4:38 p.m.—a 10-month-old boy died and four others were taken to hospital with minor injuries. WAOW
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wausau police remind riders that all three classes of e-bikes, along with electric scooters and similar devices, may use roads, bike lanes, and most shared-use paths but are not allowed on sidewalks unless signs permit. They add that only class 1 e-bikes may operate in city parks — riders must yield to pedestrians and follow a 15 mph limit in park areas. WSAW
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ A new pickleball complex opened in Plover at Lake Pacawa Park after years of planning—built with a $500,000 donation from the Sentry Foundation and featuring 12 fully wheelchair-accessible courts, the facility now draws players from Marshfield and Wausau. A free beginner class will take place Saturday, July 26 for those interested in the sport. WSAW

Advance Practice Nurse with DOT Certification
This is a contract, on-site role for an Advanced Practice Nurse with DOT Certification based in Merrill, WI. The Advanced Practice Nurse will be responsible for performing DOT and non-DOT medical examinations, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Daily tasks also include maintaining accurate medical records and communicating effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
